Lezayre Parish Commissioners Civic Sunday was held on a bright Sunday morning at Lezayre Parish Church. A large congregation attended, including Deputy Deemster Andrew Williamson and his wife, members from many other authorities, friends and family. The service was conducted by Revd Brian Evans-Smith, Priest in Charge, and Revd Canon David Green preached the sermon. The organist was Mrs M Van Dook. A musical item was provided by dancers from Broadway Baptist Church with their interpretation of 'The Lord of the Dance'. Splendid refreshments were provided in the Church Hall following the service.
