Lezayre Commissioners marked the retirement of Parish Clerk Robert Peel in August 2006 with a party and presentation attended by past and present Commissioners.

Mr Peel retired as Clerk about 18 months ago, but continued as caretaker for Sulby Community Hall until recently. In appreciation of his services to the parish over the past decade he was presented with a wooden plaque carved by local resident Peter Webb and showing the Lezayre Cross.
